Mary-Lynn Baltzer was born January 17, 1960 in Berwick Nova Scotia. She spent many vacations in Aylmer and Port Bruce, Ontario. She is survived by her mother Janice (Millard) Baltzer of Coldbrook,NS and Port Bruce, ON, her brother Rick of Coldbrook, NS, her father Mawson of Woodville, NS, her grandmother Bernice Baltzer, Berwick, NS an uncle and aunt, two neices and two nephews of NS, many cousins in Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Mary-Lynn graduated from Kings-Edgehill High School, in Windsor NS; graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University in Halifax, NS
and Acadia University in Wolfville, NS. She was Ambassador Extrodinare representing Acadia University at the University of Dundee, Scotland. At the time she went missing she was writing her thesis for her PhD in Psychology. She was also fluent in several langues. M-L had worked at the Fairmount Banff Springs Hotel in Banff, Alberta for 10 and 1/2 years.
She loved to travel and had been to Scotland, England, France, Switzerland, Austria, Belguim, Holland, Russia, Greece, Spain, Mexico, various States in the USA and across Canada from Newfoundland to BC. She also enjoyed reading, hiking and walking the trails in the woods. She could play the piano, trombone, guitar, and flute. She was also fluent in several languages. M-L was a friendly and caring person to all. She had several cancer related operations and was in remission at the time of her disappearance. She had been active in Marathon Races to raise money for various organizations. M-L with her nursing took part in taking blood pressure for people, which was hosted by the Banff Springs Hotel. She also sponsored two boys through Plan International, in Peru. Everyone will remember her beautiful smile, the sparkle in her eye, and how caring, helpful and kind she was to all. She was a friend to everyone she met. To her friends and collegues she was known as M-L. M-L said "Mom I try to be a good person" the last time I saw her. .
